And so we come to week two...already longer than I've lasted through most of my "resolutions", but then again, this is not a resolution, so I guess the fact that I've lasted two weeks doesn't really count.

This book was recommended by Kristen from my local library. Annnnnd...that's where my interest in this particular work of fiction begins and ends. This was a fluff book, a nice read overall but...fluffy. I think the fact that the cover included a picture of a headless woman in a wedding dress should have given me a rather large clue as to what I was in store for. Alas, not so much. This story follow four friends; three women and one man through a years worth of predictable life-altering changes. I.e. girl discovers her long lost father is actually a hugely famous reclusive rock star, girl two decides to have an illicit relationship with the help hired to assist her dying park avenue mother, girl three wants to get pregnant, even though she has no husband, no boyfriend, and no sperm donors picked out...and who does she choose for the dirty deed? You guessed it, the only male in the entire story, her best friend, who is currently married a parisian model. HAHA. I swear, it just doesn't get any better than that. Apparently this book was based on facts...how "factual" it actually was, well I'll leave that to my very cynical imagination. I'll leave my review at this, it's a good read, but just that, nothing to write home about and certainly not something I would recommend past a throwaway novel that you would take to the beach, and not be unhappy if it "accidentally" got swept away by a rouge wave on your first day out on the sand.
Out of 5 stars, I give it 1.5
